Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

Activities:

Upon arrival, you will be met outside the baggage claim area by your guide who will escort you to a waiting vehicle for your transfer to downtown with a brief introduction en route. Your guide will be holding a welcome signboard with the VIET HERITAGE TRAVEL LOGO & your name. During the drive your guide will provide an introduction to Ho Chi Minh City

Saigon is a city that never sleeps and offers a plethora of great restaurants and bars catering to all tastes, from street food vendors to the rooftop bar at the Rex Hotel, where international correspondents covered the Vietnam War and where the U.S. military attaché’s press briefing was held daily and dubbed the “Five O’clock Follies”. Whatever your interests, be sure to ask your guide for personal recommendations.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Ben Tre – Can Tho

Activities:

Breakfast at your hotel. The guide pick you up and transfer you to Ben Tre.  Pick up at Phong Nam Pier (Phong Nam old ferry station). Take the boat on along the  River – one of tributaries of Mekong River, Sight-seeing lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring …..Stop at  brickwork – coconut charcoal making and coconut husking.  Then visit one of the plenty of coconut processing workshops where coconut candies are made and have a chance to learn the coconut candies making process located along canal . Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Take a walk to family making sleep mats. Afterward, being on a cart powered by a motorbike or biking  and traveling through some tranquil villages where vegetables gardens to be able to touch on real life and find out about tropical culture from Peasants. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, take biking around the village, rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat  to Hung Vuong Pier. Then take a car to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, check in hotel and free time

Day 3: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City

Activities:

Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river ( Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Rang floating market which are the liveliest in the whole religion. Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to cross a “Monkey bridge” which is built by only one stem of bamboo. Visit the orchard garden. Stop for lunch. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, check in hotel and free time.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City tour – Danang – Hoian

Activities:

Breakfast at your hotel, visit the War Remnants Museum or the History Museum depending on your personal preference. You will also visit the former Presidential Palace which is still a gloriously beautiful building. The day finishes up with a leisurely stroll past (and into) the Old Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Dong Khoi Street, the Opera House and City Hall. Then the evening is yours to enjoy the local atmosphere or perhaps an authentic Vietnamese meal and then free time for visiting Ben Thanh Market and then transfer to airport for a flight to Danang. Arrive in Danang, pick you up and transfer you to Hoian. Free time for relaxing on Cua Dai Beach.

Day 5: Hoian – Tra Que Village

Activities:

Breakfast at your hotel and then it’s time for a little bit of exercise and a bike ride to Tra Que Vilage and a visit to a local farm. This is a very special involvement in true Vietnamese rural life. You will learn about the history of the village and then be shown the daily practices of growing vegetables. You will learn how the vegetables are used in traditional Vietnamese medicine. You will join in the activities of the farmers – collecting seaweed fertilizer, sowing, raking, watering and picking. Your cultural immersion continues as you join the family to prepare and eat the lunch you have helped grow. You will also taste other local specialties such a Tam huu (spring roll) and Bahn xeo (pancake). Of course you must also join in the after lunch nap before returning to the fiel to learn how to harvest and wrap the produce. Mid-afternoon we wave goodbye to your new friends and go back to Hoian and stop off at Nhat tomb and Ba Le well. Then free time for relaxing on Cua Dai beach.

Day 6: Hoian – Danang – Hanoi

Activities:

Breakfast at your hotel. Free time for relaxing on beach until pick you up and transfer you to airport for a flight to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Free time for visiting city.

Day 7: Hanoi – Halong Bay

Activities:

We’ll pick you up in Hanoi by 8:00am and drive through the verdant Red River Delta to make our way to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site, Halong Bay. You’ll board a luxury junk ship for an overnight cruise– while you relax on-board you can marvel at the incredible limestone karsts that jut out of the sea and the thousands of jungle-covered islands that seem to float on the waves. The turquoise waters of the Gulf of Tonkin swirl around hidden grottoes and ancient caves to create an enchanting, timeless world.
We’ll serve you a fresh seafood lunch while you sit back and relax as you enjoy the incredible view with a drink in your hand. We’ll take you to a traditional fishing village where the locals have created an entire town on the decks of their boats, then you can explore Tien Ong Cave before returning to the cruise for cocktails, canapés, and a spectacular sunset. End your day with a romantic, candlelit dinner.

Day 8: Halong Bay Tour – Hanoi

Activities:

Awaken on board to the magnificent vista of Halong Bay in the morning. Begin the day with a Tai Chi class on deck in the early morning mist or just admire the beautiful scenery as the sun rises over the azure waters. The boat moves on its way as you decide when its time to actually arise. As you make your way back to Halong City you partake in a leisurely brunch that is provided on board. Jump onto dry land and hop into the vehicle with you guide for a relaxing ride back through the rural countryside and into Hanoi and your hotel. Hanoi is a fascinating easy going city that is well worth an evening stroll in preparation for your tour in the morning

Day 9: Hanoi city tour

The capital of Vietnam, a city that celebrated 1.000 years in 2010 has countless fascinating cultural and historic sites and our days’ tour will visit the highlights. See the grand and solemn mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov), the ‘icon of Hanoi’ – The One Pillar Pagoda, the beautiful Temple of Literature, West Lake’s Tran Quoc temple and Quan Thanh pagoda as well as the fascinating Ethnology Museum, the bustling Old Quarter and at the end of the day – a water puppet performance.

Day 10: Departure from Hanoi

Activities:

Your time will be your own until your private car and driver arrives to take you to the airport for your flight to next destination.
