Ho Chi Minh → Can Tho

You will begin in the capital city of old Saigon where you’ll have an opportunity to explore the war tunnels of Cu Chi, drift down the mighty Mekong River, and immerse yourself in the vibrant heart of the south. Explore the daily life of the Mekong Delta with a full-day tour of Cai Be Floating Market. See lush green paddy fields, and sample fresh river produce and vegetables. Exploring bustling floating market Cai Rang in Mekong Delta. Bike between villages and visit local craftsmen.

Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh on flight

Activities:

Upon arrival, you will be met outside the baggage claim area by your guide who will escort you to a waiting vehicle for your transfer to downtown with a brief introduction en route. Your guide will be holding a welcome signboard with the VIET HERITAGE TRAVEL LOGO & your name. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the tree-lined boulevards, French Indochinese architecture and tranquil lakes of this unique city.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels

Activities:

Breakfast at your hotel, transfer for visiting Cu Chi Tunnels. After lunch in Cu Chi, driver back to Ho Chi Minh City. This afternoon, depending on your preference, visit either the War Remnants Museum or History Museum, and the former Presidential Palace. Finish the day with a stroll around the city’s colonial architecture, including the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta Tours

Activities:

Breakfast at your hotel. The gide pick you up and transfer you to Cai Be by via Trung Luong Expressway. Arrival in Cai Be, set off for the Cai Be floating market by motor boats and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Then wander in small villages, visit fruit plantations, accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.
Afterwards, paddling through a series of small canals to experience the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta, where you can enjoy yourself with the nature. Lunch time is a good chance to get closer with the local and you will learn how to prepare special Vietnamese dishes. Food is cooked by yourself, and fresh river food is served in the heart of the garden.

Cycle in the village path through orchards. Meet the local islanders to learn more about the local daily life in the Mekong Delta. Transfer to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, check in hotel. Free time

Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City Departure

Activities:

Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river ( Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Răng floating market which are the liveliest in the whole religion. Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to cross a “Monkey bridge” which is built by only one stem of bamboo. Walking trip to visit the fruit plantation and local noodle factory. Visit Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda – a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its unique structure. Then transfer to airport for your departure flight.
