Day 1: Northern Phu Quoc Island Focus – (Snorkeling and fishing)

A full-day tour that takes you on a journey of discovery through various famous destination from the Northern to the farthest Western point of Phu Quoc island across. You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning, proceed with the tour following the organization of a resourceful guide, then return to where you stay within a day. Let’s preview the list of interesting destinations for your better imagination.
We’ll start the tour by introducing a few of Phu Quoc’s culinary delights, fish sauce, sim wine and pepper. Phu Quoc nuoc mam (fish sauce) is one of the most-loved products on this island and the rest of Vietnam. We’ll take you to a Fish Sauce Factory to learn how local people produce it and store it in what resembles a brewery. Fish Sauce Factory, where produces very high-quality fish sauce which is widely domestic consumed and worldwide exported. The primary ingredient is select fresh wild-caught anchovy from the crystal-clear waters off the Phu Quoc island archipelago, combining anchovies, salt, and fermented through various stages for six months up to a year before being drained from the large barrels. Reportedly, Phu Quoc produces over an incredible 12 million liters of fish sauce each year. Wonder how they made it? Let us come and see ourselves. Next up is the Sim Winery, where you can taste some samples if you like to.
Sim (Rose Myrtle) Winery, is an interesting place not for only wine lovers alone. As being said, this type of wine has natural healing properties that help with fatigue, aide digestion and reduce join pain, of which the recipe originated from various ethnic minority groups living in the center highlands. This special wine can be given as the unusual souvenir and is best used with the seafood. A visit to a pepper farm is the next stop on our itinerary. Phu Quoc pepper is renowned for being the best pepper in Vietnam and this visit will give you fascinating insight into its transformation from plant to pepper pot. You’ll learn how local people carefully cultivate their pepper garden to produce the very best pepper and of course, you can purchase some if you wish to. Then, we’ll take you to walk through Phu Quoc National Park, where you’ll see fresh cool streams and gain knowledge about the flora of this island. Phu Quoc National Park comprises more than half of Phu Quoc Island’s northern region, where adventurous travellers can enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits throughout their tropical vacation. Declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2010, this massive natural attraction spans over 314, 000 square metres of unique flora and fauna, evergreen forest, and dense mountain ranges. Nature lovers can also spot rare wildlife such as long-tailed macaques, silver langurs, slow lories, otters, and hornbills. Next, it’s time for a bit of history and culture with a visit to Nguyen Trung Truc Temple, dedicated to the most revered hero of Vietnam, who fought against the French colonialism in the 1800’s. Now it’s time to get back to nature by visiting the farthest Western point of the island, stunning Ganh Dau Cape. Ganh Dau Cape is located in the northern section of Phu Quoc Island, which pristine forests, mountains, seas remain intact. Ganh Dau has a lot of corals, rocks and other kinds of fish, particularly red grouper. Seafood here is cheap that caught by the fishermen and cooked on the spot to be ready for you to enjoy. After enjoying views of sparkling sea and Cambodia mainland on a clear day before relaxing and having lunch on the soft-white sand of Vung Bau beach. Be sure to bring swimmers so you can swim or sunbath on this lovely secluded beach. After your northern discovery we’ll drop you back to your hotel.
