Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City
Activities:
When you arrive at the Tan Son Nhat International airport you’ll be met at the baggage claim by our friendly guide. Just look for the sign with our Viet Heritage Travel logo and your name. We’ll get you to your hotel and see that you’re comfortable, plus we’ll give you an introduction to the city at the same time. Then the rest of the day is yours to settle in, relax, and explore the area.
Saigon is a city that never sleeps and offers a plethora of great restaurants and bars catering to all tastes, from street food vendors to the rooftop bar at the Rex Hotel, where international correspondents covered the Vietnam War and where the U.S. military attaché’s press briefing was held daily and dubbed the “Five O’clock Follies”. Whatever your interests, be sure to ask your guide for personal recommendations.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels
Activities:
We’ll pick you up in the morning and take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a major part of the Vietnam-American War and a fascinating day trip– explore the mysterious tunnels, find hidden doors and once-deadly traps. After lunch we’ll go back to Ho Chi Minh and spend the afternoon either visiting the War Remnants Museum or the Presidential Palace, whichever you prefer. Then stroll around the city’s colonial streets in the evening to the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Sa Dec – Chau Doc
Activities:
After breakfast at your hotel, the guide pick you up and drive to Chau Doc Eco Tour. On the way we will stop at a flower village in Sa Dec Eco Tour to visit a few gardens with many kinds of beautiful flowers. Then we will visit Phuoc Kien Pagoda where there is a special kind of lotus with leaves big enough for a person to stand on. Afterward, we will have lunch in Long Xuyen City before checking into the hotel in Chau Doc. We will visit “Mieu Ba Chua Xu” where many people come every year to worship “Lady Buddha.” We will also visit the mausoleum of Thoai Ngoc Hau, an important figure who contributed to the construction of the VinhTe and Thoai Ha Canals. We will have dinner and free time at night.

Day 4: Floating Village – Cham Village – Tra Su Forest – Can Tho
Activities:
After check-out, we will take a boat to the floating village to see how they raise a lot of fish in the Mekong region. We will also visit a Cham community and we take the bus to Tra Su forest to observe many kind of birds gathering around trees naturally. We enjoy lunch there. After lunch, we will return to Can Tho City, a three-hour trip. There, we get the chance to see thousands of crocodiles at a local farm. Then transfer to hotel, check in hotel and free time.

Day 5: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City
Activities:
We will depart from Ninh Kieu Park at 7:30 am for the Cai Rang Floating Market – the biggest wholesale floating market in the Mekong Delta. The Cai Rang floating market is well known for its variety of fresh fruits and other local products. Hundreds of boats still gather there to buy and sell every morning.
After seeing floating market, we will go to hand-made rice noodle to try how to make rice noodle. After that we go to Ba Lang, a suburb of Can Tho City. From there, we will begin our ride along quiet, beautiful canals to GianGua – a revolutionary landmark of local people. Our trip will continue around the village, where you will get a first-hand perspective on local daily life in the rice fields and fruit gardens, where we will take a break to enjoy lunch and local fruit. You can learn to cook Vietnamese dishes. After that, we will return to Ninh Kieu park by boat and take the bus to HCM city.
