In this 5 day tour package, we have included all the highlights they have to offer from the ancient town of Hoi An, the sanctuary of My Son, the Royal tombs & former Royal Hue citadel. We also included in the trip a chance for you to cook & enjoy the local cuisine, a boat trip to discoverfascinating Chuon Lagoon & learn about the agriculture life here.

Day 1: Danang arrival – car transfer to Hoi An

Activities:

When you arrive at Danang International airport, you’ll be met at the baggage claim by our friendly guide. Just look for the sign with our “Viet Heritage Travel logo and your name”.Enjoy a short drive to Hoi An ancient town with a brief introduction about the areas. Then the rest of the day is yours to settle in & relax.

Hoi An was a prosperous port from the 16th to 19th centuries trading with merchants from China, Japan, India, Indonesia and Europe who came to buy silk, spices and porcelain. Hoi An’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Quarter is beautifully preserved with ornate pagodas, antique trading houses and old tile-roofed shops. It is a rich architectural fusion of Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and European styles. Many of the historic buildings lining the canals and pedestrian streets have been converted into art galleries, boutique restaurants, bars and cafes. Hoi An is surrounded by attractive countryside with traditional farming and fishing, and by sandy beaches with modern seaside resorts.

There are actually 2 main parts of Hoi An for your stay:

+ Hoi An downtown: Walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, tourist sites, nightlife etc

+ Hoi An beach: located around 15 – 20mins driving from town, good choices for beach lovers

Day 2: Cooking local cuisines & discover the Heritage sites

Activities:

Your cooking class today will begin with a visit to a colorful local markets, buying all the necessary ingredients and head back to prepare. Your chef will demonstrate how to cook some typical Vietnam cuisine, you will then start cooking yourself and enjoy what you have cooked J

In the afternoon, exploring the enchanting time-capsule town of Old Hoi An on a walking tour with your guide. Hoi An was a major sea port in Asia and it resulted in a fusion of style and culture that has been perfectly preserved. Wander traditional Chinese shops, luxurious French homes, and an ancient Japanese bridge. The town is home to silk markets, Vietnamese food stalls, and talented street performers– all of which are sure to

Day 3: From My Son sanctuary to Hue Royal tombs

Activities:

Leaving Hoi An today, you will be heading out to visit the ancient Champa Kingdom that dates back to the 3rd century and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set in a lovely valley surrounded by mountain peaks, the temples that were rebuilt in the 7th-century became a sanctuary of Hinduism.

Drive back to town for lunch before transfering to Hue, stop at Khai Dinh’s Tomb which boasts a traditional Vietnamese design with aEuropean touch, making it unique from the other tombs in Hue. Arrival, check in your hotel and be free at leisure.

Day 4: Hue Imperial city & Chuon Lagoon.

Activities:

After discover the former Royal Capital, passing small hamlets and verdant rice fields, your leisurely ride will first bring you to Thanh Toan, a quintessential Vietnamese village with a picturesque covered Japanese-style bridge built during the reign of Emperor Le Hien Tong in the mid-18th century. Your guide will explain the history behind the bridge plus there will be time to visit the village’s small museum and interact with the local population.

Continuing along the riverbank, passing small farms and settlements along the way, the next stop is Chuon, an ancient village with more than 600 years of history. Of note is the village temple, which was recognised as a national relic in 1994 and typical of the architectural style during the Nguyen Dynasty period, and the nearby local market. But the highlight for many is the wonderfully situated Chuon lagoon. A world away from the regular tourist circuit and part of the breathtaking Tam Giang lagoon system, Chuon lagoon is an important source of fishing and income for the local residence. Boarding a small motorised sampan, you will cruise around this peaceful pool of water, stopping at stilt houses here and there to meet with local families and learn about their daily lives. A simple yet delicious brunch of Khoai Cake (Hue style Vietnamese Pancakes) will be served before returning to the shore and riding back to Hue.

Day 5: Hue – Departure

Activities:

Breakfast at the hotel & enjoy the last moment in this peaceful land until the driver come to pick you up & bring you back to the airport for the flight to the next destinations. Services end.
